Great Balls of Felt!
At our meeting on Tuesday, 11th July at Lamorna Village Hall, Nina showed us how to make felt balls from small pieces of wool and we were all able to have a go.
She also showed us this exquisite little Peruvian purse, knitted from a few scraps of colourful wool.
In a Spin:
At our meeting on Thursday, 24th November at Lamorna Village Hall, we were delighted to have a demonstration of spinning. Teresa and Denise had brought with them raw wool from many different breeds of sheep, including Wensleydales, Suffolks and Jacobs, from angora goats, alpaca and even a yak! We were able to learn from their skills in carding, spinning and plying and even to have a go ourselves. They do their own dyeing of the wool and has also brought colourful sample skeins which we could touch, admire and even buy. A wonderful morning!
Ceramic painting at The Craft Box, Market Jew Street, Penzance:
We had a fun morning at The Craft Box, painting various pots and mugs with original and unusual designs!
