At our first meeting of 2016, on January 19th, we were pleased to welcome Lis Davies – herself a member of Crowlas & Ludgvan W.I. – who showed us how to make simple but effective flowers in felt, suitable for wearing as brooches or as decoration for hats, scarves, bags and jumpers.
Although there were a few sticky moments with the glue gun, we all managed to produce something to take home with us, and a lot of fun and laughter was enjoyed in the process. Thank you, Lis.
It was also good to welcome a number of guests, including Diane Kettle from Youlsgreave W.I. in Derbyshire who was in Newlyn for her holidays but came along to share an evening of W.I. companionship with the members of Mount’s Bay.
