Our May meeting, on Thursday 15th, was when we got the opportunity to discuss and vote on the Resolution destined for this year’s National A.G.M. – “The NFWI notes that three people die every day whilst waiting for an organ transplant. We call on every member of the WI to make their wishes regarding organ donation known, and to encourage their families and friends, and members of their local communities to do likewise.”
Unsurprisingly, after a short briefing and discussion, Mount’s Bay decided to lend their unanimous support to the motion, and we look forward to welcoming Joy Richards from Madron, our local representative at the A.G.M., to the June meeting to tell us how it progresses.
With the formalities concluded, we were able to inspect the books, plants and other items which members had brought for the Bring and Buy.
