Our Visit to Ann’s Smallholding

Part of the view from Ann & Steve’s front garden

We were lucky enough on 12th June to have a wonderful balmy evening for our visit to Ann and Steve Higgins’s wonderful smallholding in Ludgvan.

At the end of a narrow and bumpy track, their bungalow commands an amazing view across West Cornwall – from the Four Lanes mast, via Trencrom and across Rosudgeon to the Lizard. In this lovely spot, Ann and Steve share their garden and fields with a motley collection of sheep, hens, geese and pigs as well as growing a wide range of fruit and vegetables. Thanks are due to them not only for the guided tour but also for the tea with rock cakes, scones and home-made strawberry jam!
