We meet regularly from 7.15 p.m. on the third Thursday of every month (except August) at the Lescudjack Centre, Penmere Close, Penzance. Our members enjoy talks and demonstrations on a wide range of topics and can sign up for trips and activities organised by us, other local W.I.s or by the county Federation. There is always social time for a chat and a laugh over a cup of tea – meetings are an excellent way of making new friends. In addition, we have our own informal Luncheon Club, which meets every couple of months for a meal together at one of the many local inns or restaurants and a Book Group which meets in our own homes. We have also set up a Craft Group for both the skilled among us and those wishing to learn new skills.
Forget the stereotypes – come and see for yourselves. Take a look at our programme and see what we’ve been doing and what’s coming up. We have fun – and the W.I. is a great way of meeting new people and making new friends. Guests and new members can be assured of a friendly welcome.
